How do you assess someone wisely?

I have partner "A". a diligent friend, has a good leadership skill, actively discusses in groups, takes initiative, is responsible. For all group assignments, he often manages well. Never had a problem with all the obligations handled. However, he still has not had the opportunity to do an internship or practical work in a company. So that his character is only known by his friends.


I also have partner "B". He had the opportunity to take part in an internship at a company. From a company perspective, he's a diligent, responsible, and brilliant kid. But on the other hand, he left other obligations. He is rarely active, rarely participates in discussions, is often late for assignments. He is less liked by his friends because it hinders their work.


From the story of the two personalities above, who is better? A or B? So, who will be recruited first?
